Today is Spirit day in honor of the gay teens that committed suicide recently. 

In support of Spirit day everyone is asked to wear a purple shirt. Purple is the color that represents spirit on the LBGTQ flag, and was chosen because in this sad time we need to all keep our spirits high in honor of the teens. Its sad that four teens had to loose their life because of their sexuality and the torment they endured from others.  I know we live in a heartless society but I believe that together we can all help bring awareness and strength to others. Strength and support so four more teen do not have to feel like the only way out of the torment and bullying is killing themselves.
